Seminar on Intellectual Property rights
Friday 18 October at 10 am, the Postdoc Association organizes a seminar on Intellectual Property rights with Anna Frostegård: Beyond the stage: Academic Discoveries. Topics that will be discussed are: an overview of the field of academic inventions, development thereof and all related aspects, including that of intellectual property, which is different in Sweden: the teachers exemption rule. Here, your research is not ‘owned’ by your university, but it is owned by you; that is, if you are employed… So what happens when you are on a stipend? And is there a difference in ownership between you and your PI? And why should you actually worry about these ownership questions? Anna will tell us all about it!
